OVERCAST SUNDAY

Sitting here in Sunny Southern California, where it's supposed to be sunny and beautiful everyday - it's not. It's about 66 degrees (Fahrenheit), gloomy, and overcast.

On a day like today, when the pool should have been a sure thing, I find myself inside the house writing, enjoying my gloomy day soundtrack in the background.

And no other gloomy day would be perfect without the added addition of my favorite cult classics. I could watch 'Mean Girls' until the sun comes up.

Epic.

And my overcast day would be nothing without 'Easy A':

"Not to mention how you've been dressing the last few days... No judgement, but you've kind of look like a stripper."
"MOM!"
"A high end stripper: for governors or athletes."

And who could forget my favorite gem: 'To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar' starring Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo as drag queens on another level:

"What do you mean: 'Be a Drag Queen'?? I am a drag queen!"
"Oh, child, NO, NO, NO. You are - simply put - a boy in a dress..."
This cures any weather conditions.

And at long last, I satisfy my day with some good ol' fashioned 'Golden Girls':

Let's just hope it doesn't rain tomorrow.

Sunny Southern California, come back to me. I'm begging you.
